How’s everybody doing today?
We had a great church service this morning. My youth pastor spoke, and his sermon was all about community in the church.
Being apart of a community of believers is so important, and I think we forget that sometimes. In Galatians 6:1-2 it says “Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
God calls us to be apart of a church. To carry each other’s burdens. Because really, who better to understand the problems you’re facing than other Christians, who you can relate with? If you’re struggling, you’ll always have someone to talk to, and if you don’t understand something in the bible, you’ll always have someone to ask. It’s really just awesomely awesome for everybody.
So if you’re not already connected in your local church, get on that!! And if you’ve been putting other things in front of church or youth (i.e sports, friends, etc.) I really want to encourage you to start making God and the church number one priority in your life. Speaking from experience, I know when I started making God number 1, life just got a lot better. (Disclaimer: I’m not saying if you start going to church more, your life will be perfect.)
So find a church where they love Jesus, and love others and you’re set. I promise it’s worth it, if you really try and get connected. :)
God Bless you guys!!
